Psalms chapter 118 is an awesome testimony to the Messiah. It talks about the right hand of the LORD doing valiently and the right hand of the LORD is also mentioned in Isaiah 53:1. It goes on to say that the LORD Yod He Vav He has become our salvation. The very next verse (verse 22) goes on to say something truly amazing... The stone that the builders rejected has become the cheif cornerstone. Monthly Commentary: Colosians Chapter 2:13 tells us that Messiah has blotted out the hand written ordinances and has nailed them to the cross. Please note that a law is a general ruling that applies to a certain people. According to Websters dictionary an ordinance is a municiple or local explanation of how those rulings should apply. For instance the law says do not speed, but Orlando Florida may pass an ordinance that says you can speed if everyone is going above the speed limit in order to save lives.... Read this with Colosians 2:23 and with Mark 7 verse 8 for further clarification. Note that Colosians 2 does not tell us to stop observing the Jewish holidays, but it says not to let someone command us on how to observe them meticulously.
